In March 2024 I worked as a student designer for SCU Sustainability’s “EcoFashion Show”. The pieces I entered were made entirely from secondhand materials and items from my closet. As someone in the visual arts, I enjoy expressing my identity through various forms of self-decoration. In this series, I hoped the clothing would read as an extension of my other works. I drew inspiration from the range of textures, color palettes, and shapes as I arranged the materials. The movement felt much like my mosaics and collages.
